Cooling systems mix carbon-steel and yellow-metal (copper/brass/admiralty) components; oxygenated recirculating water corrodes steel and dezincifies/pits copper. Design uses an anodic inhibitor and a cathodic inhibitor for steel plus yellow-metal azoles for copper
