Full Description

Polyetheramine M-2005 is a polyether monoamine (comparable to Jeffamine M-2005) — a single amine-terminated poly(propylene glycol) (~2000 MW) used as a reactive modifier, chain stopper, dispersant and surfactant building block. Identity: CAS 83713-01-3.

What it is

Polyetheramine M-2005 (CAS 83713-01-3) is a grade-defined polyether monoamine with one terminal primary amine on a poly(propylene glycol) chain. The monofunctionality makes it a modifier/chain stopper rather than a crosslinker.

How it cures

Its single amine reacts into epoxy or with isocyanates as a chain stopper or reactive flexibilizer, and its polyether tail gives surfactant/dispersant and water-compatibility properties — used to modify networks and as a building block.

Applications

Polyetheramine M-2005 is used in reactive surfactants, dispersants and hydrophobic modifiers in epoxy and PU. Difunctional grades for crosslinking: D-230 and D-2000.

Forms, grades and handling

Supplied as a clear liquid in drums, IBCs and bulk; grade defined by molecular weight. Properties are typical reference values; the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for the lot you buy governs. Amine curing agents are typically corrosive and can sensitize skin — handle per the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Each lot ships with CoA, TDS and SDS.

Bulk supply and RFQ

RawSource sources Polyetheramine M-2005 direct from producers in bulk, with CoA, TDS and SDS per lot. Tell us your resin system, cure schedule (ambient or heat) and the properties you need (pot life, Tg, flexibility, chemical resistance), and we will quote the right hardener.
