Monocalcium Phosphate

Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP) is an acidic calcium phosphate primarily used as a leavening agent in baking. It reacts with baking soda to produce carbon dioxide, causing baked goods to rise. MCP is also used as a nutritional supplement in animal feed and as a calcium source in food fortification. It provides both calcium and phosphorus in bioavailable forms.
