A defoamer, also known as an anti-foaming agent, is a chemical additive that reduces and hinders the formation of foam in industrial process liquids. The presence of foam can be problematic in various industrial processes, such as chemical manufacturing, food and beverage production, and water treatment because it can affect the efficiency, quality, and safety of operations.
