Full Description
Polymeric MDI (PMDI) reacts with polyols to build the crosslinked network that gives rigid PUR/PIR foam its closed-cell structure and dimensional stability, making it the standard isocyanate for thermal-insulation boardstock, spray foam and panel systems. Its higher functionality and low vapor pressure relative to monomeric MDI also make it suited to wood-composite binders for OSB and particleboard, foundry and core binders, and structural or laminating adhesives. In two-component (2K) polyurethane systems it serves as the crosslinker for coatings, sealants and elastomers. RawSource supplies PMDI in bulk to foam producers, panel manufacturers and CASE formulators
