Non-volatile PDMS fluids — Silicone Oil 5 cSt (Dimethicone, PDMS) and Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) Fluid — serve as lubricants, release agents, defoamers, and process aids where a stable, low-volatility film is wanted. Volatile siloxane carriers — Hexamethyldisiloxane (MM, HMDSO), Octamethyltrisiloxane (MDM), Decamethyltetrasiloxane (MD2M), Cyclopentasiloxane (D5), Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), and Methyl Trimethicone — act as fast-evaporating solvents and spreading fluids that leave minimal residue. For reactive or functional needs, Vinyl-Terminated Polydimethylsiloxane (Vinyl PDMS) is a base polymer for addition-cure silicone elastomers; Amino-Functional Silicone (aminosilicone) provides substantivity for fiber and surface finishing; and PEG-12 Dimethicone is a water-dispersible silicone surfactant and emulsifier.
