Full Description
Oxime esters are among the most sensitive radical photoinitiators available, which is why this one is a standard choice for highly pigmented and filled photoimaging systems where light penetration is poor. On UV exposure the oxime-ester bond cleaves to release reactive radicals that initiate polymerization of acrylate monomers and oligomers. Its main home is electronics and display manufacturing — color-filter resists, black-matrix layers, photoresists and printing-plate resins — where high photospeed and good cure under heavy pigment loading are essential. It is also used in pigmented UV coatings and inks. The material is classified as a skin sensitizer and should be handled per its safety data sheet
