This is a high-sensitivity Type I oxime-ester photoinitiator built on a carbazole chromophore. Under UV exposure it fragments to generate free radicals that initiate polymerization, and its high light absorptivity lets it drive cure in deeply pigmented and heavily filled formulations where conventional photoinitiators stall. Its principal use is photoimaging of color-filter and black-matrix resists in display manufacturing

A grade-specific Safety Data Sheet (SDS) — with the complete hazard classification, handling precautions, and transport information — is supplied with every shipment and available on request. Confirm all safety and regulatory details against the SDS for your specific grade.
Carbazole oxime esters are prized for very high photo-sensitivity combined with good thermal stability, which makes them the workhorse initiators for LCD and OLED color-filter pigment resists, black-matrix layers and photoresists where light has to penetrate dense pigment loadings. The same efficiency makes them effective in heavily pigmented and black UV inks, coatings and plastics. Because the molecule cleaves cleanly on absorbing light, formulators can hold low loadings while still achieving deep through-cure, which helps control cost and yellowing in demanding imaging work
