필름 형성제 및 고정제

필름 형성제는 모발이나 피부에서 건조되어 연속 피막을 형성하는 폴리머로, 화장품에서 INCI상 필름 형성과 스타일 고정(픽서티브) 기능에 사용됩니다. 여기 수록된 화학 성분은 두 가지 작용 그룹으로 나뉩니다: 유연한 고정력을 부여하는 수용성 또는 분산형 픽서티브 수지(VP/VA copolymer, Polyquaternium-11), 그리고 워시오프 및 색조 화장품에서 불투명도와 연속적인 필름을 제공하는 아크릴·스티렌 에멀션 공중합체(styrene/acrylates 계열).

VP/VA copolymer is the reference styling-fixative resin and dissolves in hydroalcoholic and aqueous systems. The genuine trade-off across this family is hold strength against feel: a higher fixative load raises stiffness but can read as tacky or flaky and lowers humidity tolerance. A practical route is to combine a fixative resin with a plasticizer or a cationic conditioning polymer, then set the resin level by sensory and hold testing rather than by maximum addition.

Polyquaternium-11 is a cationic film former carrying the catalog roles Conditioning and Film Formation, which makes it substantive on hair. Tricontanyl PVP is a wax-compatible, oil-phase film former (catalog roles: Film Formation, Moisture Control, Viscosity Modification) used in anhydrous and gloss systems. The two styrene/acrylates copolymers are emulsion polymers that add opacity and a continuous film; specify the crosslinked divinylbenzene grade where a firmer, less soluble film is wanted.
